Rexburg to Pleasant Grove

Only a few hours ago we were sitting in our empty apartment in Rexburg waiting for adam's loving parents to come to our rescue yet again. Apparently when we were packing we had this crazy idea in our head that all of our belongings would fit in and on top of my jeep... Boy were we wrong. On Thursday afternoon the back of the jeep was full and we still had two more rooms to pack. So thankfully his dad and brother had to drive through rexburg for something that day so they were able to pick up all of the stuff we had packed already! Well... Thursday was a really busy day for me.. it was my last day of classes finals and everything, my last day of working at the pharmacy, we had a ward pizza thing, and then I had to go visiting teaching. So poor adam was left to pack by himself.. just like he had the entire week. He is amazing. Anyway so fun story.. in the middle of visiting annelise the power went out... not just in her apartment, not just in our complex, but the entire city of rexburg had a power outage... even the lights at the temple were off. It was kind of scary to be honest... walking around outside in pitch black dark... uh can anyone remember the donner party? anyways so adam and I and our good friends adam and bianca packed by candle light.. it was kind of fun to tell you the truth. The Jones are so fun.. me and bianca go way back. The adams thought itd be fun to light a bowl of matches on fire.. oh and it was for about 2 minutes until smoke started pouring out of the bowl and it stunk up the whole apartment.. thank goodness the smoke alarms werent working. anyways so we packed what we could until 10 or so and we called it a night... then the power came back on.
SO Friday we finished packing and were excited to leave but one small problem... we couldnt fit everything in the jeep. so we fit what we could and waited until saturday morning for his parents to get the rest of our stuff and we left for ut today. In the mean time we cleaned the apartment.. can i just say how grateful i am for the members in our ward. Amber Belt came by and offered to help me clean. She is an angel. And our home teacher took stuff to DI and helped adam finish packing. I am going to miss that ward so much.
Now we have to purchase a towing package which is what i wanted to avoid since they cost alot along with the trailor we have to rent... which is more than we have.... im grateful for parents. thats all im saying. Now lets just hope everything works out and we can leave monday morning as planned... everyone pray we will make it across the country without any car problems.. thats what im most worried about.. maybe if we didnt have a trailor to tow i wouldnt be as worried.. and maybe if the dang check engine light hadnt come on on the drive to UT i wouldnt be as worried.. but worrying is what im good at. i will try and post some pictures later im not at my laptop.
i hope everyone has a safe and happy christmas :)
We got some family pictures taken at thanksgiving and they turned out SO good! :) i have such a pretty family! James, Devon, Brett, Ashley, THe Whole Family, Laurie & Joel, All the girls,
